By Air
EasyJet - BA
or Ryanair provide a
very cheap and frequent service to Marseille, Nice or Nimes airports from
regional airports (Manchester, Liverpool, E Midlands, Glasgow Edinburgh etc.)
via Luton, Heathrow or Gatwick. Marseille is the nearest airport and is also
well served daily by EasyJets inexpensive and frequent flights. Marseille
arrivals should take the rapid 1½ hour bus or train service via Aix en
Provence to Sisteron from where we provide a FREE pickup. Alternatively if you arrive at
Nice, you should take the narrow gauge Chemin de fer de Provence train to Digne
(about 3 h) where we can collect, but this is charged at 50 Euros bookable/payable 2 weeks in advance. Full transfer details are provided along with
your booking confirmation.

By Road It couldn't be simpler - by car we're
about a 9 hour drive from the main channel ports. You can drive on motorways
avoiding Paris to Lyon then follow the motorway on to Grenoble. From Grenoble
the N75 will take you to Sisteron from where La Motte du Caire is well
signposted (D951). For visitors from Scotland, the new
Superfast ferry from Rosyth in Scotland
to Zeebrugge is a great option giving only 10 hours driving on the French
side.
